When I wake up in the morning to go to the Soup’s Kitchen, I always feel excited to help people. I really love cooking and preparing the dishes for the residents. As I serve food into nice portions, I always see smiling faces awaiting their dish. We usually receive gratitude for the hard work we put through. It is nice to think that when you do something good, you’ll get something in return, and it will always come in different forms.

I learned about No Strings Attached from a friend that lives in Half Moon Bay. I began off by simply participating for the volunteer hours (that includes time of transportation by the way), but as I got to know the regulars, I began coming more frequently. You NEVER stand idle. You will have the ability participate in various activities like traveling around to different bakeries to pick up day-old food, cracking around a hundred eggs by hand to make scrumptious scrambled eggs, or baking crunchy tater-tots. The community that has developed over the years is amazing, beautiful, and unforgettable.
The food is also 👌 (AMAZING)!
